 | The Mailed
Fist Wargames Group. Nice friendly club with an across the board interest
in Wargaming. |
 | The Society of Ancients. Well worth a look at if not to join,
membership around £16.00 per annum, for that you get 6 issues of the
society's journal, 'Slingshot'. I'm one of the more simple members who
still like battle reports and table top tactics. |
 | The
British Historical Games Society Worth a look at for competition
information. |
 | Battle
Drills & Tactics for DBM First class Australian site full of
excellent advice on DBM tactics and interpretations. |
 | Tim
Porter's Website One of the best individual sites on the web for
DBM gaming. |
 | De Bellis Antiquitatis (DBA)
Resource Page. This site I check nearly every day, certainly a Gold
Star site. |
 | Alan
Patrick's Website. Glad to say this site has been updated of late. |
 | NiK
Gaukroger's DBX Page Another excellent site with lots of good
advice, info and lists. |
 | Essex
Miniatures Still one of the best manufactures of 15mm figures. |
 | I'm a convert to Precut bases and as far as I'm concerned the best place
to buy them from is East Riding Miniatures. Tony Barr is a thoroughly nice
person and very helpful to boot! (whilst your on the ERM site have a look at
the Ming, Korean and Malay figures, very tasty!) However he and
John Blow his DBM Doubles partner have a nasty habit of thrashing Paul and
me in the league. |
 | Museum Miniatures are a first class company to deal with, quick and very
helpful. The website takes a little getting used too and sometimes the
figure size within a range can be variable (some of the Egyptian archers
compared to the spear/javelinmen for instance) but overall they figure in my
best five manufactures. |
 | Jeff
Zorn is another whose website is well worth a visit too! especially if
you like Book one armies. |
 | Outpost has an
excellent range of figures but sometimes you will find that they are a touch
brittle and need care when handling but overall a two star rating. |
 | Matt Haywood's site Wargaming
and Warfare in Eastern Europe (1350AD to 1500AD) is an excellent
resource and well worth a view, a definite |
